Jeppesen Mobile FD is compatible with iPad Air and newer models, running iOS 11 or higher. It supports both portrait and landscape orientations, and it can be used in split-screen mode with other apps. You can also connect your iPad to an external monitor or projector for a larger display.
One of the key features of Jeppesen Mobile FD is the SID/STAR picker, which allows you to select specific SID/STAR routing to fit your flight plan and operations. It makes the proposed flight track visible and the performance predictable. You can also annotate terminal charts with quick notes in green or amber colors, so all information is at hand and clearly sorted.
Another feature of Jeppesen Mobile FD is the weather overlay, which shows you the latest METARs, TAFs, SIGMETs, AIRMETs, PIREPs and winds aloft on your enroute and terminal charts. You can also access weather radar images and satellite imagery for a better situational awareness. You can customize the weather settings to suit your preferences and needs.
Jeppesen Mobile FD also offers flight planning and navigation tools, such as the route editor, the flight log, the fuel calculator and the weight and balance calculator. You can create and edit your flight plan using the route editor, which supports direct-to, airways, waypoints and user-defined points. You can also import and export your flight plan to and from other apps or devices.
The flight log shows you the details of your flight plan, such as distance, time, fuel consumption, altitude and speed. You can also view your estimated time of arrival, your remaining fuel and your current position on the map. The fuel calculator helps you estimate the fuel required for your flight based on your aircraft performance and weather conditions. The weight and balance calculator helps you ensure that your aircraft is within its limits for takeoff and landing.
Jeppesen Mobile FD also provides you with a moving map display that shows you your position, track, speed and altitude on the enroute or terminal chart. You can also see other information such as traffic, terrain, airspace and obstacles. You can connect your iPad to an external GPS device or use the internal GPS of your iPad for navigation. You can also connect your iPad to an ADS-B receiver for enhanced traffic and weather information. aa16f39245
